Frank Stirrup (birth registered July→September 1931 (age 80–81) in Barton upon Irwell Rural District (Leigh)[1]) is an English former professional rugby league footballer of the 1940s and '50s who at representative level played for Lancashire, and at club level for Salford, and Oldham, playing at Fullback, Wing, Stand-off/Five-eighth, or Scrum-half/Halfback, i.e. number 1, 2 or 5, 6, or 7. Frank Stirrup signed for Oldham during November 1950, and made his début against Belle Vue Rangers on 20 January 1951.

Frank Stirrup played, and was captain, in Oldham's 10-3 victory over St. Helens in the 1956-57 Lancashire Cup final at Station Road, Swinton on 20 October 1956.
